Travel size shaving cream Vali

Váli Lavender Shaving Cream RRP £4.95

Váli is a shaving brand from Sweden that, like us, has a passion for single-bladed shaving and everything it entails. Their ethos is for simple, affordable shaving products that are kind to the skin and minimise any chance for irritation. Their shaving cream is designed to quickly whip into a dense lather than protects your skin from the blade without drying it out. Despite being a relatively no-frills cream compared to some of the artisan brands we’ve featured in the past, we were really impressed with its performance. Featuring a hint of Aloe Vera for its natural soothing and anti-inflammatory properties as well as the sweet and floral scent of lavender essential oil, known for being non-irritating on the skin as well as offering a relaxing start to the day. We’ve included 2 of their travel-sized shaving creams meaning you’ve got a full 60ml to work with, more than enough for 60+ shaves.

To use: Squeeze out a small dollop and work it into a lather using a damp brush. Apply to stubble when rich and creamy, then shave.

Ingredients: Water, Stearic Acid, Glycerin, Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate, Myristic Acid, Potassium Hydroxide, Lauric Acid, Palmitic Acid, Beheyl behenate, Glyceryl myristate, PEG-2 Distearate, Cocamide Mea, Fragrance (Parfum), Phenoxyethanol, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Chlorphenesin, Disodium EDTA, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract.

Pre-shave scrub zeos for men

ZEOS For Men QU3 Face Scrub RRP £7.95

Zeos For Men is an award-winning British brand we’ve worked with before that create a range of great male grooming products that focus on combating the effects that modern living can have on our skin. Their range uses natural plant stem cell technology to bolster the skin’s regenerative abilities and help reduce the signs of premature ageing. Using a scrub pre-shave is one of the best ways to prepare your skin and stubble for an effortlessly close and comfortable finish. It features coconut husk as a gentle and eco-friendly way to remove dead skin cells and dirt from the face to leave a silky smooth surface for the razor to glide over uninhibited, as well as help prevent ingrown hairs. It also lifts any sebum from the base of the hairs so the razor can cut right at the base of the shaft for an extra close shave. Vitamins E and B5 are added to keep your skin hydrated and healthy, whilst shea butter nourishes. We particularly like the use of eco-friendly packaging in this scrub, made from over 50% sugarcane and completely recyclable, they’re so much better than normal plastic tubes.

To use: Apply onto wet skin before shaving. Massage gently onto face and neck in small circular motions then rinse with warm water. Be very careful not to press into your skin. Remember you’re about to shave, which is by itself an exfoliating experience for your skin. Over-exfoliation can lead to razor burn.

Ingredients: Aqua, prunus amygdalus dulcis (sweet almond) oil, butyrospermum parkii (shea) butter, glycerin, cetyl alcohol, theobroma cacao (cocoa) seed butter, glyceryl stearate, coconut shell, phenoxyethanol, parfum, tocopheryl acetate, D-panthenol, Glycerin (and) globularia cordifolia callus culture extract.Parfum contains benzyl salicylate, citral, coumarin, geraniol, linalool, alpha-iso-methylionene, di-citronelle, p-tert.butyl-alpha-methylhydrocinnamic aldehyde.

Premium men's moisturiser sa.al&co

SA.AL&Co Intense Moisturiser €32

SA.AL&CO are a brand from Austria that create a fantastic range of beautifully presented, premium products. We featured their post-shave balm last year and it received such excellent feedback we knew we wanted to see them again. Presented in brushed aluminium tubes, they have a high quality feel whilst being much better for the environment as they are made from 99% recycled materials. We loved a lot of things about this brand, from the design of the labels that are inspired by 50’s/60’s Italian license plates, to the fact they source pristine alpine spring water as the base in all their products. Every little detail is accounted for. The intense moisturiser is a rich cream using the best ingredients to deeply hydrate skin and keep it looking in top form. Aloe vera and macadamia nut oil soothe any micro-wounds whilst being easily absorbed so there’s no greasy feeling. Shea, cocoa butter, and sunflower oil have been added to hydrate and nourish whilst providing essentials vitamins and antioxidants to help renew and protect the skin. To top it off, hyaluronic acid, a natural occuring molecule that depletes from our skin as we age, has been added to help draw water and prevent moisture loss. The subtle scent of mint essential oil leaves you feeling refreshed and ready for the day ahead.

To use: Twice a day, massage a small amount of moisturiser into damp skin in small circular motions. Leave to air-dry
